Traffic & Parking #

  • Noel Fine Arts Center (NFAC) at UW-Stevens Point is located at 1800 Portage Street, Stevens Point.
  • Buses can drop off and pick up (including load-in and load-out), but then will be directed away from the NFAC. Per Stevens Point Police Department and UWSP, buses must park on the east side of Illinois Avenue between Maria Drive and Fourth Avenue (this location was identified to best accommodate large vehicles and reduce congestion on campus). If there is insufficient space here, buses must park legally on other city streets (all normal municipal and state parking laws apply, including meter parking zones, no parking zones, no blocking or parking too close to fire hydrants, crosswalks, driveways, or intersections). Vehicles sitting at the dropoff/pickup location for an unreasonable time prior to pickup are subject to removal/citation.
  • Moving trucks may park in metered spaces if they fit. Otherwise, please see bus regulations above for parking on city streets as allowed for by law.
  • Meter parking is available. Use smartphone Passport Parking app; certain yellow-capped meters may take coins. Meters are not enforced after 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and are not enforced all day Saturday. Lots:

Visitors may connect to the guest wireless network.

Connect your device to the wireless network connection identified as “UWSP_Unsecure_Guest.”  To register with this network open a web browser and enter a valid email address.

Lodging #

Prices listed are guides, and not guarantees. The best advice from hotels is to call, ask for sales and see what the best price is and what they might be able to do for you. If you are able to reserve a block of rooms, you will be able to negotiate an even lower price. Be sure to mention that you are tax exempt, and in some cases, it will help to mention that (if you are a public school) you would qualify for the state government rate. The sooner you are able to book, the better your rates will be.
