It seems as though there was a concern from the judge about volume. We (Kim Volden and I) have checked the video recording and can hear clearly. So, a 3 in that category seems questionable – especially considering the judge then comments about the varying intensity/changes in volume being helpful in the very next line.

even with my volume all the way up, it was often difficult to hear what you were saying and I had a very hard time following the story (see comment in conveying meaning)

The referee committee read the adjudicator comments and believed that the comments were specifically related to volume and the type of technology being used to listen to the presentation. Since this was a recorded presentation, the committee believed we cannot penalize the student for technology difficulties.

Under “Vocal Delivery” 2 points should be added for a total of 5 in that area.
